WHO WE ARE
WOMan Radio is a digital radio station founded by Ms Yvonne Chaka-Chaka in 2019. The radio station commenced broadcasting in October 2020.
Ms Chaka-Chaka – a reputable singer, actress, a humanitarian with impeccable credentials and Princess of Africa – was on a quest for social justice for women and girls. After years of travelling around the world and meeting different people, looking for ways where she contribute further to society – a thought to open a radio station was borne, a radio station for women, by women, with women.

Nompumelelo Ranaka
Nompumelelo Ranaka – Nompumelelo is a central part of South Africa’s first family reality show, the Ranakas, she is a director of Humans of South Africa. Nompumelelo was amongst the pioneers of Etihad airways, making it the five-star airline it is today, as a cabin manager, in-flightservice and cabin crew grooming facilitator. She has lived in the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Bahrain and worked as a translator in Hong Kong High Court and a nexus flight operations as a global concierge.
